Create a server
Click + in the server bar and choose Create. You become the owner: you have every permission and cannot be kicked or banned. You can change the name and icon later in the server settings.
Channels and categories
Use the server menu (click the name at the top of the channel list) or right-click a category to create channels. Text channel names are lowercase, without spaces. In each channel you can set Slow mode: from 5 seconds to 6 hours between messages from the same person.
Invite people
In the server menu, choose Invite people. You decide:
- Expiry: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 7 days or never;
- Max uses: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 or no limit.
The person who receives the invite uses + → Join with invite. Inviting requires the Create invites permission. Banned people cannot come back through an invite.
Mute
Servers, channels and DMs can be muted from the context menu or the bell in the channel header. Mentions of you still arrive in your inbox.
